Solutions Architect - Delivery We are a diverse, highly skilled, and passionate team that values sharing and collaboration. We provide expert-level technical guidance to customers integrating our products into their application stacks. What You'll Do - Work with new customers to integrate Fastly into their systems during their on-boarding - Design and build technical solutions on Fastly, using VCL / Go / Rust / Javascript - Provide existing customers guidance on additional features and performance tuning. - Write and present training materials to customers and internal teams - Work with Sales Engineers to build Proof Of Concepts for prospective customers - Be the Subject Matter Expert on the Fastly Delivery and Compute platform What We're Looking For Basic Qualifications: - Proficiency in CDN and WAF technologies, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting. - Expert knowledge of HTTP and web application implementation - Troubleshooting supporting protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, TLS) - Basic coding knowledge, including having built projects in one of Go, JavaScript, or Rust - Experience as customer-facing technical consultant - Experience with project management, including analyzing a project's requirements, designing and documenting a solution, and delivering that to successful completion - Created training materials and mentored junior team members We’ll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these: - Experience in additional programming languages - Written and deployed automated testing, ideally on top of continuous integration / continuous deployment systems - Worked with infrastructure automation/configuration management systems Work Hours: - This position will require you to be available during core business hours. 9am-6pm IST Work Location(s) & Travel Requirements: This position is open to the following preferred office locations: - Pune, India Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home. Senior CSOC Analyst

Senior SOC Analyst - APAC Leveraging our growing security product suite, SOC Analyst role contributes real world security insights to Fastly and our customers as we address Internet-scale threats. Cloud security solutions enable our customers to benefit from extra visibility across the world and expertise from a central team. The Fastly Customer Security Operations Center team at Fastly focuses on operational support of Fastly’s security products and services. The SOC Analyst role within this team focuses on delivering outstanding security services to our customers, specifically as it pertains to integrating and supporting agent software installed on customer systems. The team works with the security, operations and customer organizations internally to deliver support solutions for security threats faced on the Internet today. As a 24 x 7 team, SOC analysts are expected to work either Tuesday through Saturday, Sunday through Thursday, or Monday through Friday shifts. What You'll Do This role within the Fastly Customer Security Operations Center (CSOC) will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing customer activity, with added emphasis on security functions, like identifying account-takeover or Bot Attacks and WAF administration. Much of the focus will be on security and attacks around the application layer working with different web technologies. You will have the opportunity to work on some of the world’s most scalable distributed systems that handle around 10 million requests per second, as well as the world-class engineers who developed these systems. In this position, security engineers will be responsible for the following duties: - Be an expert in ensuring security for customers, providing an outstanding response to security issues. - Provide deep application-security experience on escalated cases from customers & automated systems. - Carry out continuous-improvement work & research to drive our customer security products & operations to be the best they can be. - Contribute to the processes and policies that scale our organization as we grow - Create & review reporting to customers on security services - Create & manage security content for customer environments What We're Looking For - Prior Experience working in a SOC Environment - Experience with some or all the following foundational technologies: SaaS/Cloud or hybrid cloud deployments; Apache/NGINX/IIS or other web server platforms and associated Application server technologies and frameworks - Scripting ability with any of the following: Python, Java, Go, Rust, PHP, Unix/Linux Shell, C#, or other common Web languages - Strong infosec background with strong knowledge & practical skills in Application Security. - Experience in an IT or security technical support, operations, or research role - Unix/Linux or Windows System Administration - Ability to work with limited supervision but be a good mentor on security knowledge to the greater team - Fluent spoken & written English required, tailoring depth to be a good fit for varying audiences - Ability and experience in troubleshooting software products - Focussed on delivering exceptional customer experiences. We value a variety of voices, so this is not a laundry list. You’ll be a good candidate if you have experience in SOME of these: - Strong knowledge of core internet-technologies like DNS, HTTP & TLS and how to debug with common tools - Experience with Data Analytics around spotting threats in customer’s environments. - Monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Looker or others) - Security Detection & Response (Log pipelines / SIEM / etc) - Cloud ecosystem knowledge & experience (GCP or similar) - Business speaking and writing proficiency in other languages preferred - Docker or Kubernetes experience - these have widespread use. - Systems Config Management. Manager, Customer Support Engineering

Manager of Customer Support Engineering About the Customer Support Engineering Team The Customer Support Engineering (CSE) team is the primary interface for Fastly customers navigating our edge cloud platform. As a Manager of CSE, you manage the people, processes, and performance of a unified Tier 1, 2, and 3 team. You ensure we deliver a transparent, technical, and empathetic support experience. You bridge the gap between front-line queues and deep escalation investigations. Additionally, you manage dedicated Mission Control Engineers (MCEs) supporting our proactive Mission Control Program (MCP). The MCP is Fastly's dedicated initiative for proactive observability, strategic advocacy, and specialized event management. It acts as a strategic evolution from reactive troubleshooting to a highly predictable, scalable, and sustainable observability operation, ensuring our platform and support scale seamlessly to protect our strategic customers during their highest-traffic events. What You'll Do: - Multi-Tier Team & Program Leadership: Lead and motivate a distributed team of T1/T2/T3 engineers, including dedicated MCE resources. Ensure the MCP scales seamlessly to protect strategic customers during high-traffic events. Coach technical staff from reactive Operators into strategic Owners. - Delivery & Execution: Identify workflow bottlenecks. Remove roadblocks and create realistic project timelines. Deliver time-sensitive projects on schedule. Oversee standardized runbooks and After-Action Report (AAR) handoffs to Engineering and Product for MCP engagements. - Strategic Resource Governance: A “Swarm” is a CSE-led approach to resolving complex customer issues with a broader internal technical group of subject matter experts, managers monitor swarm health and audit cases for adherence to the Rules of Engagement. Apply Must Have, Should Have, Could Have, Won't Have (MoSCoW) and Eisenhower matrices to prioritize team efforts. Use the Eliminate, Automate, Delegate, Simplify (EADS) model to optimize programmatic health. - Technical Escalation & Matrix Ownership: Oversee the team's handling of complex service issues. Serve as the Accountable party in the Responsible, Accountable, Supportive, Consulted, Informed (RASCI) framework. Ensure your team navigates the Escalation Matrix (Tier 3 -> Product Management (PdM) -> Performance Programs) and adheres to Service Level Objectives (SLOs). - Collaboration & Communication: Communicate effectively to technical and business audiences. Build effective relationships with cross-functional managers. Synthesize Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Decisions (RAID) logs into Executive Summaries. Ensure the MCP implements formalized "Bad-day" incident triage protocols. Adhere to Brand Editorial Standards. - Operational Excellence & Metric Sustainment: Manage team budgets and monitor staffing needs. Drive your team toward specific annual goals. Maintain >97% Customer Satisfaction (CSAT), resolve Tier 3 cases in under 5 days, and keep engineering escalation rates Customer Focus: Build a team that puts customers at the center of objectives. Understand how the services your team provides offer value to the customer. Enable proactive observability, ensuring MCEs provide early anomaly detection to reduce fatigue and increase customer confidence. What We're Looking For: - Experience: 5+ years of experience in a people management role having managed 5-10 people in a hybrid work environment. You need a proven track record of leading high-performing, senior technical support, Escalation, or systems engineering teams. - Technical Acumen: In-depth knowledge of Fastly products and services. You can substitute equivalent expertise in Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), cloud technologies, and web architecture. - Metrics-Driven Leadership: Proven experience managing teams to strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs). You use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and support platforms to provide business insights and drive operational decisions. - Customer Empathy: A deep-seated passion for customer success. You have experience de-escalating tense customer situations with grace and technical authority. - Crisis Management: Proven ability to thrive and lead in a high-pressure, 24/7 issue-driven environment.
